Canadian youth, between the ages of 16-22 (as of March 31, 2009), are invited to compete for a chance to attend Motivate Canada’s 5th annual ACTIVATE National Youth Leadership Conference on Sport, Active Recreation and Physical Activity.
If you are interested in:
1.SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS and IDEAS about the relationship between recreation, sport, community, youth development and effecting change;
2.DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS, SKILLS, and PLANS to help you make changes in recreation and sport and to help youth become more physically active in your community;
3.LISTENING to and LEARNING from other youth and gain insight into what other young Canadians want to do, have done or are currently doing in their communities; and
4.ACTIVATING YOUR COMMUNITY and put the learning and support networks you develop into action to make recreation, sport and physical activity opportunities better for youth in your community when you return home,
Then YOU should apply to attend ACTIVATE 2009. Look for the application process to begin in early December 2008.
